Berry v. Bank of America aka FIA Card Services, Inc; and TransUnion, LLC
This is a case filed by an Alabama consumer against Bank of America (FIA Card Services) and TransUnion for repeatedly verifying and keeping on the consumer's credit report a large Bank of America account which is not the consumer's account. This large account appeared on her credit reports and the consumer disputed the account with both Bank of America and TransUnion on multiple occasions but neither defendant did anything to fix this injustice. The lawsuit alleges that the defendants violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Alabama state law (defamation, invasion of privacy, wantonness, intentional conduct, and malice).
