Bunch v. Kingman, Cole, and Associates, LLC

Alabama consumer allegedly owed money on a debt that the collection agency/debt buyer Kingman, Cole, and Associates, LLC purchased. To collect the debt, this junk debt buyer contacted various family members of the consumer and threatened them with an immediate suit against the consumer if payment wasn't made. Written disclosure of the debt to a third party occurred. Consumer sued this New York debt collector under the state law of invasion of privacy and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
